Experience
I was born and raised in Colombia, South America. There, I studied computer science and physics. I worked at Antioquia University as a teaching assistant and at a few high schools as a tutor. In 2013, I came to the U.S. to tutor at Bergen Community College in their center for tutoring. The program was actually recognized as being the best in community college tutoring. I focus mainly on mathematics and physics. There are many disciplines I find myself proficient in such as elementary math, algebra, calculus, and trigonometry. I am a native Spanish speaker, so I can teach any level of the language as well.I have learned so much from my role as an instructor. The topics I teach are often perceived as being difficult, so I am grateful to have the ability to help others come to an understanding of the subject matter. I try to bring creativity to my lesson plans, as each person requires a different approach to obtain comprehension. I like to unwind by listening to music and have even endeavored to learn to play it. I am active in taekwondo and enjoy going for a bike ride every now and then. I also like to go hiking.
